9-11-2014: Today's adventure while walking the dog yielded two silver beetles that I'd never seen before. They were very ornate, actually pretty, like something an experienced jeweler might fashion for a pair of earrings or a pendant.
They were engaged in a fierce showdown, almost perpendicular to the ground with forearms extended as high above their heads as they could be. I laughed out loud at how funny they looked, so small (about 1/2 inch long), clueless about the much bigger things that were observing them in battle.
