Wood Ducks are one of my favorite ducks to watch. The Male is obviously beautiful, but when you watch the female, you notice that she is equally stunning; it's in the way that she moves (very demure). When the sunlight hits her tawny feathers just right, they are opalescent with a pale blue and lavender tint. She just went through a waterfall before this capture, so you can see little water droplets on her backside. 2015
